Design of the Made in Germany Tables
When creating his table collection, the Scandinavian-German designer had several priorities. Only the highest-quality, sustainable materials were to be used, with as little impact on nature and the environment as possible. In addition, Jan Even had a very concrete vision of the design of his tables. Clear contours and a wafer-thin, visually floating tabletop were intended to make each designer table a stylish, timeless eye-catcher. As a result, every designer coffee table and side table by janEven is square or rectangular and consists of a refined combination of different wood materials and high-quality metal.

High-Quality HPL Top with Birch Plywood Substructure
The tabletop of every single janEven designer table is wafer-thin and at the same time maximally robust. Thanks to a sophisticated mix of materials, the tables manage to skilfully fulfil this seeming contradiction. The top of the designer tables is made of HPL wood material. The material is already known from the construction of high-quality exterior facades and offers high resistance and maximum flexibility in terms of colour design. An additional substructure made of birch plywood is discreetly concealed under the upper HPL tabletop. On the one hand, this provides the table with even more robustness. On the other hand, it is responsible for the elegant floating look of the HPL top. Since the high-quality metal table legs are subsequently mounted on the concealed substructure, the upper HPL top seems to float weightlessly above the frame. The fact that the designer tables are handmade in Germany is evident, among other things, from the many meticulous details of the craftsmanship. The black edge of the top is precisely chamfered and the corners are softly butted, so that the high quality of each individual janEven table is immediately apparent.

High Quality Metal Frame Types
Depending on whether you choose a small designer table (CoasLine side table series) or a large model (FleatLine, FloatLine, LeedLine or FlairLine coffee tables), it is delivered with four graceful hairpin legs in black or two brushed stainless steel runners. The small table with hairpin legs has a somewhat Scandinavian look due to the slanted course of its metal legs, while the large coffee table with straight-lined runners is more in line with Bauhaus style. However, the different table legs have one thing in common: They are made of quality metal, which is processed to a high standard and perfectly rounds off the design of the tables. The hairpin legs are made of robust steel and have a flawless black powder coating. The stainless steel skids, on the other hand, are finely brushed and thus have a stylish, silky-matt surface.
